The oedipus complex is the belief that everyone has a subconcious sexual attraction to their mother.
If you really want a better understanding of what it is... check it out HERE. You really should read this before you vote. I personally believe that it's somewhat true... althought I don't want to fool around with my own mother I know that I'm personally attracted to women with similar qualities. |

he married his mother and his daughters and what not and his daughter is somehow engaged to her cousin/uncle. ew." ..no, lol. he married his mother and had kids etc, unknowingly. when the truths found out, things go wrong. hence the term 'tragedy' the oedipus complex (sigmund freud named it this) is basically that young boys' love for their mothers turns territorial against their fathers when they begin to develop as men, n can lead to sexual feelings. apparently all boys subconsciously do this, but it goes away after a while etc, and only some cases boys actually fancy their mother. i reckon angelina jolie's kid will have it |
