I am taking math level 2 in June 2007 and contemplating about my chemistry one.
Are you taking it? Or have you taken any so far? EDIT: The University of California system (like UC Berkeley, UCLA) requires at least 2 SAT subject tests. I am not sure about other colleges, but for UC that's a must. |

^ What are those two tests like? I mean, are they just like AP tests? How is the format?

^ What are those two tests like? I mean, are they just like AP tests? How is the format? Well, I've taken a practice objective portion of an AP Lit exam, and comparing it to the SAT II Lit test, I would say that they are sort of similar, but the SAT II test seems to focus more on content than it does on style (at least I think so). I haven't taken a math AP exam yet, so I can't really compare the Math IIC to one, but to give my opinion on it, the problems on the Math IIC test are kind of... odd. They are manageable, and it is not hard to get a satisfactory score, but I think it is sort of hard to get a perfect or near perfect score if your math level is not high enough yet. Anyway, I honestly don't remember too much about the test, but I sort of studied from a The Princeton Review prep book, and found that the problems are pretty similar to the ones on the actual test, so that could really help. :] As for the formats... well, the Lit test contains a good amount of both poems and passages to analyze, and the Math IIC's problems go from easiest to hardest. I found that the first half of the test was okay, but I had some trouble once I got past the middle, for some reason. |
