There's this boy in my lunch period that i think is cute, but i don't know how to start a conversation with him. He's not in any of my other classes and he sits on the other side of the caffeteria. I talked to him once, you know, introducing myself, but i said something stupid and i think i annoyed him. How am i supposed to talk to him without creeping him out or anything? I just want to be friends and see where it goes.

Wait, do you even KNOW this guy? You just saw him across the cafeteria and found him attractive and now you're trying to figure out how to talk to him? Way to creep him out.
If you keep trying to get his attention when you really don't have any basis to form even an "acquaintance" relationship... you'll probably end up scaring him. |

Here's the story: Well, in Back to School Night, my parents met his parents. They found out that my dad and his dad worked in the same building so they became friends. You know, talking and eating lunch together sometimes. Also, my sister who's a grade lower than me is good friends with that boy's younger brother. I hear them mentioning him being in my grade and so i decided i wanted to be friends with him. After asking my friends if they knew him, one of them showed me who he was and then i thought he was cute which made me nervous. (im a filipino and so is he, there's this thing about filipinos being really eager to meet others like ourselves. that's how my parents and his parents met each other in the first place) So, that's basically it. The guy knows me, he's heard about me from his family so it's not like talking to a stranger. |
