My mom won't let me shave my legs... And I hate it.
She says I'm too young for it...
She also says it's because it makes my leg hair grow faster and even thicker than before.

shrug.gif I have no idea if this is true or not though because I've never shaved.

Yeah, and to be honest, I have PE first period, and for the first quarter.
In PE, I have to wear shorts. I really dont like to show off my beautifully hairy legs to other girls and guys. ermm.gif

Is there some shaving technique or cream or lotion that'll make it so it doesn't grow back as quickly, and as thick? Maybe I can persuade my mom somehow to let me.
Or does it really not grow back like that? stubborn.gif stubborn.gif stubborn.gif

I read this last night in the Girls Resource Center you should read it

QUOTE
It's just an illusion, according to Dr. Kitha Griffin, an Atlanta dermatologist. "New growth is often sharp-tipped and stubbly, depending on the removal technique," so it may appear bristly, she says. Hair grows independently, unaffected by anything external. Dr. Griffin adds that if this myth were true, all men would have thick dark beards.

Taken from CNN
Wikipedia restates this fact.
QUOTE
Some hold the belief that, once shaving commences, the hair will grow out more thickly. However, this bit of conventional wisdom happens to be false. The resulting stubble only makes the hairs seem to be thicker. Because a shaved hair has a blunt end (versus the tapered end of an unshaven hair) and because hair is often darker in color near the root, there is a widely held belief that shaving causes hair to grow in thicker and faster. Clinical studies have demonstrated that shaving does not have an effect on hair growth rates or density (see medical data below).

exactly!

I wish more people would check their facts before posting. A year ago, I would have thought that what they said was true, but taking Anatomy & Physiology really changed that. Ah, I love that class.
