i don't know where this question belongs, so feel free to move it.

i know you've all seen the mtv summer beachhouse logo with the retro font and the swirls. TEENick has a similar logo which you can view here. [the nickelodeon one is animated, but i don't care about the animation.] so my question is, is there an easy way to create this same type feel [the retro look with the circles and connected feel] using fonts and minimal freehand? i know some of you design gods/goddesses must know some shortcuts. i do have photoshop and imageready if that's any help. thanks in advance!

hi! umm you can get fonts free at http://dafont.com .. that's where i get all mine, anyhow.

Then in Photoshop, create your text. Then click Layer>>Layer Style. And use Bevel/Emboss. and choose Outer Bevel, Or anyother one u want. You can try simply creating the same text twice, only in different colors and placing one behind the other, but a little lower and more to the right, so it looks like block text...

Then draw some circles using the shape tool.
