>I almost want to say that trust is like a life-line in a relationship. Do you think that the more trust you have the healthier the relationship will be?
While I don't think relationship=trust, it is true that trust plays a vital role in any relationship, and not just the boyfriend/girlfriend type. If you don't trust the other person in the relationship, you're always going to have doubts in your head about what he/she is up to, and if what they told you is, in fact true. You will start to doubt the relationship...and it will lead to diagreement, and the eventual fall out of the relationship. More trust doesn't necessarily means the "healthier" the relationship will be. How healthy a relationship is also depends on other factors...like communication, and the compatibility of the two people involve, but yes, having a lot of trust in the relationship will definitely give the health status of the relationship a big boost. >You have to show that you trust your partner. Is it ever good to fake trust? Nope. What's the point? Once your partner finds out at a later point in time, it won't be pretty. It'd be almost like being a fake you to be involve with them...and in a way, it's like breaking a lot of promises. Because trust takes time to develop...and once the person finds out that the foundation was built on something fake...that hurts. >What does showing that you trust your partner entail? Lot's of things. One of the top things would be not be possessive and controlling. Let your partner be his/her own person. Let them do their own thing without you. Trust that they won't be unfaithful to you. >What are things that you can do to show you trust your partner? That's a hard one. I show my bf that I trust him by letting him have his own space...and by telling him private things that I wouldn't tell anyone else. >What are signs that you don’t trust your partner? Interrogation. Being possessive. Feeling insecure when they're on within your sight. >What are things that can cause distrust? A lack of communication. >What does trust do? It makes the relationship have substance...as opposed to just the physical kind. :How does trust effect a relationship? In the positive way of course =] With trust, your relationship will last...without trust...it won't. |
