First off, is this in the right topic? Have a laugh, make new friends. Anything off-topic. I would've put it in Interests > Debate but people can actually back up these opinions with solid facts, not just personal opinions and feelings, so yeah. There are no facts, hence I shouldn't post it there right? I read the rules, go me. Anyway. This doesn't seem like the right section -.-
What is common sense? Can you define what common sense is? Is it any different from common knowledege? I believe common sense is the same thing as common knowledge because it is something that everyone should know. Whether that "knowing" is universal or not really depends on the intelligence of others, or the cultures in which we are born into. For example, if someone is upset, crying and it's, in my opinion, common sense to not ask "are you okay?" 'cause obviously that person is not. Or, when a boy asks his girlfriend (hoo boy, getting into relationships. Maybe this is the wrong section?) "are you mad?" and she says "no" and he keeps repeating it until she does get mad. The boy doesn't know what he did wrong, seeks another girl for advice and she goes, "you're so stupid!" In her mind, she thinks 'this guy has no common sense!' while the boy would be 'greaaat. i made another girl mad!' What I'm getting at is that common sense for girls is a lot more defined than common sense for guys. So, what is common sense? Ever felt so annoyed at someone because they lacked some common sense? Why was that? |

to me:
common knowledge is what everybody knows. a large amount of people know. common sense is what you should know and use to live and survive. like common sense tells you not to drink and drive and common knowledge is you knowin the consequences of your actions for drinking and driving.... does that make sense?..not sure if i explained it right but..i tried to explain my view |
