Friday night i found out my ex is now dating this girl....she is PERFECT, beautiful, smart, sweet, mormon, everyone loves her. I'm not over my ex so when i found out i kinda freaked out. Anyways my best friend(he is a he) helped me through it and showed up at my house the next day with a single rose and we sat and talked and he ended up asking me if i ever saw us getting together.

I panicked, I'm not attracted to him. I told him i didn't think so because we are such good friends and cuz im not over my ex and he kept insisting that he wanted to owrk through all that. He left telling me to think about it. Am I supposed to just say" sorry not attracted to you AT ALL" or do i play the whole cliche friendship thing through? He argued that when i said that before... all i want is my ex back and him as my best friend. I'm going a little nuts.

That makes no sense. She's not attracted to him...

Just tell him that you don't feel that way about him. I mean, it might be awkward for a little while, but he'll probably end up realizing that you two are better as friends. Or he might not and just have a huge thing for you until the next girl comes along... which'll also work out.

Friendship is a valuable thing... don't ruin that by going into a relationship with him when you aren't attracted to him.

And get over your ex. Hm. It sounds so easy to say.
