I Think my friend likes me but i wanna just friends Options

This guy been my friend for like ever actually he's my best friend. When i got into high school i didn't really know any1 else so i just stuck with him and formed a group and stuff. Sp there were some rumors of us going out and stuff but i was like no we're just friends. But, lately I think he likes me. Mybae i'm just imagining things but it's kinda bothering me. At first it started out with him always walking/standing close to me in the halls or at lunch when there is a whole bunch of rooms. He would come to me inbetween classes even though his class is like far apart, then he started to act really nice to me which he usually isn't(he mostly teases and stuff) Other days he would invite me to alot of movies but invite maybe liek a couple of other people. He would alwasy wait for me for stuff. Next like today he was like hey get your stuff from your lucker early then straight after lunch we can walk to class together. I was like umm okay... but seriously this is kinda freaking me out. Again i could just be imagining things but, maybe i'm not. Oh I'm transfering schools ad he is even planning to transfer with me (for real he even was talkign to his counselor about it). Maybe these are just signs of a good guyfriend but yeah. How do i just kinda hint to him... i just want to be friends maybe stop rumors to think we're together and suff. I don't really wanna be mean to him though i tried telling him is a joking way once but it didn't work cuz he only took it as a joke . Help please.

Um... bring it up, and talk to him about it 1-1. Don't accuse him of liking you, but just tell him how you feel. It doesn't sound like you want him to change... it sounds more like you just want to know.

Before you do that, would it change things if you knew? Would your friend change if he thought that you thought he was comming onto you? He may back off in your friendship.... you have to say it in a way that says, "Look, I don't want you to change. I don't mind the way you treat me, but if your treating me like this because you want to be more than just friends I don't want you to get hurt."

Anyway, i understand u..It's quite difficult cos if he finally finds thye courage to tell u then u'll tell him that u ain't interested and he'll be dissapointed..Sorry to tell u but it will take him time to start acting like b4..
