i don't think there's a topic on this...
i've always felt that your expectations for yourself are always going to be more then for friends. in this case, weight. some of my friends say they're fat, and i dont think they are. but when i look at myself (and i know i'm skinnier then them) i think I'M fat. it makes me feel hypocritical, because it's like *i* have to be really skinny to be pretty, while my friends don't. maybe it's just perception? discuss maybe? ![]() |

It's not that I think I'm fat (oh god no), I just think I could lose weight in a couple of places. I don't go broadcasting it though! Like, I don't blurt out with a group of friends that "OMG I need to lose weight," because for one it's rude and annoying, and for two you basically ARE fishing for compliments. I mean, what do you expect them to say? "Yeah, you're right, wow.. You're really putting on the pounds." If you did expect them to say that, you wouldn't have said anything in the first place.
