animated profile pic, trying to import movie/animate pic seq. Options

hey all - love the site by the way, very well organized and clean!

i would like to make my profile picture more interesting by animating it, and i'm kind of an html/CSS noob. i've found a animated gif generator that will link pictures together, but i'm trying to make something a little more sophisticated - more like a super short movie. i saw a really great profile pic last night that really looked like a videco capture from a digital camera, or at least a cell phone - but i can't find the profile again, go figure.

question 1 - is there a way to actually place a short video clip taken with a digital camera into the profile pic space? (seems easiest)

question 2 - if not, how can i achieve the desired effect... maybe by creating an animated gif with many frames and very short time delay on switching? (means i need to spend a lot of time taking pictures lol, but i can do that).

Or, just any advice/links to advice that would be helpful.

If you wanted to just put pictures together and make them animated, you need a program like Jasc Animation Shop. It will save it all as one .gif.
If you wanted to make a video clip into a picture, I 'suppose you could change the file extension. Only problem with that it is would take a long time to load.

I would deffinately suggest using an animation program to put pictures together. Then it will save it for you. Much easier.
