So my university has implemented online homework for a few first year classes (I'm not sure about higher years).

So I basically have to pay to do homework, which is ridiculous. You get an access code which comes with a newly-packaged textbook/solutions/etc. or you buy it separately for about 30-40 Canadian dollars if you bought a used textbook. Assignments and pre-class quizzes are due usually on a Friday or Sunday night. It can force some people to actually do the work (since it counts toward your grade) and keep you on track, but that isn't/can't always be true. Unexpected things come up and there's always the situation where the site is down, which has already happened a few times.

Do any of you have anything similar (or the same)?

online homework is cool because you get immediate feedback. but it sucks when i want to do it in school, which means i have to go to the evil librarians... :shudder:.
