A summer's morning, friday september 15th Options

I'll paint you a summer's morning
-one that's cool and wet with dew
The grass so green you can smell it
after all they dance and do- the animals
the birds would circle over head
and perch within their trees
And sing a song to wake the world
which brought our traveler to his knees
Quietly the traveler rose
His brow naked til the end of his nose
Chin and mouth capped with a beard of age
walking in a sway of to and fro
The sun still creeping up in the sky
For some time he was silent but
eventually he smiled a deeper smile
And hummed a tune that seemed to grow
The limbs slowly stretched out
in wayn and touched his coat
The fields gleamed a brighter golden as he passed
And as he went he knew
intimate peace had come at last
Only because he welcomed the truth
