Hey all!
I had these two layouts rejected, so I'm asking what you all think I can do to improve on them. Hopefully, I can resubmit them when they're ready again. Layout 1 - Awww, it's Jared! The first one isn't so bad, but the banner has a strange appearance because of the way it's positioned. I don't think that the image quality is bad though. The white brush used under the text in the banner is a bit WHOA WHITE for me, but again, nothing terrible, I just would have gone with a softer color, maybe a cream or something.
Layout 2 - The concept is good, but poor Stewie's head.  I understand the broccoli thing, but make the edges smoother. The blog extending beyond what appears to be the blog area intended (the black box inside the green area) looks way weird. I think there is a lot of potential in this layout though.Also, I think it's great that you haven't taken layouts being rejected personally. It's very cool that you're asking for advice on how to make them better. :) |
