The oedipus complex is the belief that everyone has a subconcious sexual attraction to their mother.
If you really want a better understanding of what it is... check it out HERE. You really should read this before you vote. I personally believe that it's somewhat true... althought I don't want to fool around with my own mother I know that I'm personally attracted to women with similar qualities. |

I believe its true, but not throughout your life, only when you are young.
I think in my friends psyhcology book it says around 5 years old kids become attracted to their parent of the opposite sex. I remember this from my english class also lol. Oedipus married his mother cause he was seperated from birth and his destiny was that he was going to have sex with his mom and then kill his dad. lol i dont remember it was all confuzing. lol ahah |
