When Horse The Band got shut down by the cops.
Well, you could actually say Blood In Blood Out got shut down by the cops, right before Horse got the chance to play. It was pretty awful. f**king tough guys crowd killing, and attacking random people all night. I'm talking nine hardcore bands, probably seven of which were tough guy or hardline straight edgers, before Horse was up to play. This would have been my first time, finally, seeing Horse The Band. However, just as every other time, something just had to go wrong. It was alright before about four bands in, but then it started to get bad. Girls going off in ambulances because of mean fierce kicks in the face. Chairs being thrown into the crowd. Just unmitigated violence against non-straight/non-hxc kids. Pretty awful.

Then, Blood in Blood Out start to play. The crowd starts to fight back against the tough guys. My friend takes one to the ground and then gets jumped by 40+ kids, all just piling ontop of him. The place almost turned into a riot, pretty f**king bad. And, then, I swear I have never heard such idiocy live on a mic before, Blood in Blood Out start to just wax fancy on the situation on mic. Think, "Straight for life! This is what hardcore is about! If you can't take it, get the f**k out!" Augh.

So, by this time, I'm noticing how much safer it is in the pit aside from around the pit. It's ridiculous. Well, a crew of friendly hardcore kids tries to settle the show down, but instead, their leader gets his life threatened. Something along the lines of, "I'll get my gun from my car and shoot you in the f**king face!" Well, from there on, it's really bad. But, then a county police officer pulls up outside the building. Funniest thing I had seen all night.

The guy justs walk, no hesitation, walks right into this massive pit of hardcore dancers. Arms, legs, heads, fits, everything is coming an inch from this massive cop. And, no one can see him cause he's walking towards the band, which is where everyone is looking: to the band. But, after he passes up the kids, they all start to stop dancing, of course, aside from the kids infront of him. Well, one unlucky f**ker picks the change up right in the cops face. The elbow connected.

This kid gets tazered in a second. The cop was itching for an excuse. A bunch of tough guys start to yell at the cop, and the first one to get a few feet infront of him gets tazered too. Tough guys start to hit the floor like rocks, a few are getting arrested as like thirteen more squad cars roll in. By this time, all the show patrons are walking or running out of the complex and hanging out at their cars. I took the chance to apologize to Horse. They were very surprised, they said this has never happened to them before. I thought that was cute. Blood in Blood Out is still on the mic: "He was just trying to dance, f**king copper!"

People get arrested. People get beat up. The show gets shut down. I miss Horse the Band, again. And all this time, the tough guys would attack the crowd for absolutely nothing, aside from proving how utterly tough they are, but when cops try to shut down their show, they have no fight left?! Tough guys?! f**king shit!

I f**king hate tough guys. Pieces of trash!

same here. those pricks give hardcore and it's fans a bad name.
something like that happened when Terror/ Remembering Never/ the Warriors played here. i wasnt there, but appearently some kind of riot broke out.
