in the picture captions, the big font changes the size of all text on the page and some dont.

What probably happened was that you didn't close a font tag in a caption, so the coding is affecting all text on the page after the caption. You'd have to re-add the caption and close the tag in the caption itself if you don't want it to affect the entire page.
