In IE, I can't get my flash document to be exactly right on top of my image. It gives it a 3 pixel space in between. I want it to be fixed. Can anyone help?
CODE <embed allowScriptAccess="never" allownetworking="internal" src="http://img86.imageshack.us/img86/9518/incroyableth0.swf" width="650" height="258" padding="0" bgcolor="8c0000">
</embed> <img src="http://img170.imageshack.us/img170/2660/topwx0.gif" width="650" height="42"> |

You should use the correct HTML code for a macromedia flash object. Ideally, <object> should be used for all embedded objects in IE, not <embed>. In flash, you can generate this code using the publish... html function or something like that.
here's the code you should be using: CODE <OBJECT classid="clsid:D27CDB6E-AE6D-11cf-96B8-444553540000" codebase="http://download.macromedia.com/pub/shockwave/cabs/flash/swflash.cab#version=6,0,40,0" width="650" height="258"> <PARAM NAME=movie VALUE="http://img86.imageshack.us/img86/9518/incroyableth0.swf"> <PARAM NAME=quality VALUE="high"> <PARAM NAME=bgcolor VALUE="#8c0000"> <PARAM NAME=allownetworking value="internal"> <PARAM NAME=allowScriptAccess value="never"> <embed src="http://img86.imageshack.us/img86/9518/incroyableth0.swf" width="650" height="258" bgcolor="8c0000" quality=high ALIGN="" TYPE="application/x-shockwave-flash" PLUGINSPAGE="http://www.macromedia.com/go/getflashplayer"> </EMBED> </OBJECT> <img src="http://img170.imageshack.us/img170/2660/topwx0.gif" width="650" height="42" border="0"> firefox, mozilla, et al should see the embed tag, while IE will use the object tag. I tested it, and there is no space. |
