Hey what's up guys, well basically I have Windows XP with a Pentium 4 2.5GHz CPU and 992 MB of RAM
The problem I'm currently having is that when I drag images within Photoshop, the CPU usage shoots up, and there's been a few times that my PC just freezes. Right now Photoshop is installed onto my Primary drive, the C: But I have a 200HD, and I only used up 6GBs as of now. What exactly is causing my PC to freeze? Oh and by the way, I just re-installed my Windows XP so basically it's running as fast as possible since I don't have useless crap on my hard drives anymore. The one and only thing I can think of... is the paging file. The total paging file size for all drives is 1488MB. Is there any tweaking of any sort that I can do? I'm seriously not lookin forward to doing any upgrades to my PC... I just recently replaced both my RAM sticks with two 512s. What do you think I should do? |

Yeah, thats a pretty good processor. But since you computer is freezing, and the cpu is going crazy when running programs - it sounds like you need a new processor. Or, you might have a virus or something.
Lol I'm no expert, but thats just my opinion. Have you done any virus scans? And you have any spyware / virus protection on your computer? |
