I think it may be an asian thing. My parents are very intent that I don't have any "distractions" until I finish school/college and settle into a very successful career. They happen to like the guy they know I'm into and keep telling me that if he really likes me, he'll wait. What they don't know that we've already been dating for two years and I'm still rocking it :)
