Just to comment on something that I saw a lot:

not really because then they're going to say stuff I don't want to hear

^ Why? A best friend is supposed to tell you things you don't want to hear. Because no one else will. No one else is likely to be that honest, except maybe your parents. They're supposed to tell you things that you need to hear.. not things that you want to hear.
