1. how do you get image onto the piece you are already working on?? if i think of more ill jus edit this one |

If you right-click on an image, there should be an option that says 'Copy Image'. Then paste (Ctrl+v) it onto your canvas. I know that in Photoshop, you can drag a layer from one image document onto another.
