is there such thing as an invisible link as in like a space that you cant see but is a link?
because im making another div layout andthe main over lapping image already has the navigational links on it..so i was wondering if i could put invisible links over them so they can click the links  idk if that makes sence, but i dont think i can explain it any better so there ya go. thanks in advance

Not really. Its pretty much like image mapping. Its easiest if you have imageready. You can ind tutorials on google and http://good-tutorials.com
