i mean, i learned to ride a bike by myself...
i just never bothered to learn how to swim and i kind of regret it. i have access to a pool (even in the winter because it's indoor) but how would i teach myself? where would i start? i tried teaching myself. i tried the front crawl but i didn't really get anywhere. meaning, i stayed in one place. any tips? i don't really want to spend more money on private lessons because it's not my first priority if i had to spend a couple hundred bucks. |

Yeah. You know how I learned to swim?
When I went to leadership camp two/three years ago, we were required to take a swim test. Well I thought, "what the hell", and jumped in the lake area which was "designed" for the test, only to find it was so deep that I couldn't touch the bottom. I got freaked out, but I didn't have any time to even say anything because the 5 other people jumped too, and we had to start right away.. I think it was like 60 meters or something and I finished it. No problemo. It's not as hard as you think. Well, I thought I would drown but it wasn't that bad afterall. |
