When did you know you were bi/gay/lez?, and how? Options

I heard most people know when thier young, I'm fourteen, nearly fifteen. I am unsure.

I first had a crush on a girl in preschool. my first crush on a guy was in kindergarten.

I used to deny my feelings for girls by saying I had feelings for guys. I didnt know about bisexuality at the time.

I was a major homophobe until I was in 7th grade..... mostly because I had homosexual feelings. I was terrified of them. I used anything against them. religion, common beliefs of it not being natural... whatever.

and then I got over my homophobia and just tried to accept gays and live as a nice little straight girl.

but I was always attracted to other girls....

and finally, in 9th grade, I came out as a bisexual.

since then, I've had two of the most amazing girlfriends, and one amazing boyfriend.

Yeah... I don't believe that homosexuality/bisexuality is actually REAL. I think it's just something made up in your mind that you believe only because something happened to you... whether it be some devastating event, the enviornment, jealousy, whatever... yep... that's my thought.

I know that you're wrong because I never had a devastating event, my parents were homophobes, everyone around me was and so was I, and it's never been about jealousy. I've liked girls since PRESCHOOL.


I think there's a genetic link to it.

I mean, my aunt was gay, and there's a history of gay people in my family.

(and no, I didnt know my aunt was gay before I came out.)

My boyfriend for instance....
his dad is gay.
he's bisexual.
and we're pretty sure his brother's still in the closet.

my girlfriend.....
she's bisexual.
there's a long history of gays/bisexuals in her family.... that she didnt know about until after she came out

my ex girlfriend....
is a lesbian.
her mom is bisexual.... she had lesbian and straight porn in her stash... lol.


so many people who are gay/bisexual have family histories.... that they didnt know about untill after they came out

but this isn't a debate, so I'll stop debating....
