why do people tend to leave older people behind as if they have never existed

don't get me wrong it's so easy....they kind of disappear once the become home bound

but truthfully thats when they need us the most

have you ever ditched someone old?

Do you regret it?

my family took in my great grandfather...he taught me a lot about his life...and also contributed a lot to me bing more of a servant to other...showing compassion and mercy

I personally enjoy visiting with older people...nut how do you feel

are they worth the time and effort

My grandfather ( My Dad's father ) died in 2000. In September 1 or maybe the 2ed. I remember the day that he died in the old fokes home that we put him. We get the call from my father that he has died. We go in I see my father crying on the side of my dead grandfathers bed. I rememebr my dad told me to touch my grandfathers hand beacuse he was still warm. That was one of the most awkward and emoshional moments that I ever had in my hole intier life. I rememeber alot that he told me when he was still around. But I must have been 10 or 11 when he died and I cant say much about it. I wish that I got to know him and I would have talked to to him more about the kind of stuff that happend in the past.

Now I have my grandmother ( Mom's mom ). She is 85 years old and she drinks like a fish. I need to talk to her about " Back Then " Before she dies also. Last time I talked to her was last week when I went to the beach. I need to get down to her house and clean and spend time with her. I am guilty of this task I need to talk to her more and spend time with her more.

Now. My other grandfather died before I was born. And my other grand mother I only met like 3 times in my hole life that I can rememeber.
