zomg. that book is incredible. i read it recently, and the experiences that this boy has to go through (extreme child abuse) are so mind-blowing that it seems unreal at times. the sequel - the lost boy - is really good too. anyone read either of them? just curious.

I read A Child Called It, The Lost Boy, and A Man Named Dave all in my freshman year of high school. I remember that they became progressively less touching, so um.. read the sequels if you want to know what happens, but uhm.. I don't think I'll read them again. The content was heart wrenching, yes, but stylistically.. they were mediocre.

I have yet to read A Man Named Dave, but The Lost Boy wasn't really as dramatic and ohmygod as A Child Called It, though it's still worth reading once. |
