i was reading a magazine and they had a poll called "do you think life would be better if you were pretty?" they polled a bunch of diffrent girls from diffrent countries and in Indonesia, about 90% of the girls said "yes". at first i thought "wow, thats kind of shallow". but then i thought about it.
people are always saying that its what inside that counts. i agree with that to some degree, but you gotta admit. life would be better and easier if you were better looking, for the most part. we're always first judged by our looks. at least thats what i think. |

To be bluntly truthful, life is generally more pleasant for "pretty" people. Who would you rather help open a door, pick up papers, help cheat, talk to? an ugly person or a beautiful one? Want an interesting (but long) article? http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/3917414
People may say beauty is in the eye of the beholder, but guess what? There is a standard among our culture that defines what is considered beautiful, whether we know it/admit it or not. Naturally, the ugly people tend to have lower self-esteems--> a somewhat negative outlook on life-->not as friendly/outgoing/cheerful as they could be or as pretty people are-->people avoid them-->cycle That's life for you all. ![]() |
