Mmm its a religious reference. Eve went for the fruit she couldn't have, which was an apple. So the phrase refers to something you can't have but desire. Nobody ever said it was an apple. It was just described as fruit. HAHAHA. Mehh. I never understood the "Mirror, mirror" line. ![]() You mean from Snow White? What's not to get? ^I never understood that either. Also, "I'll be there with bells on!" Bells are supposed to be festive. So if you're expressing your excitement to go to a festive event, you'd say, "I'll be there with bells on!" I don't get the "all's fair in love and war" much either. |
