MySpace layouts in particular. Here are examples:
http://www.createblog.com/layouts/download.php?id=13386 http://www.createblog.com/layouts/download.php?id=13385 http://www.createblog.com/layouts/download.php?id=13384 http://www.createblog.com/layouts/download.php?id=13383 http://www.createblog.com/layouts/download.php?id=13382 http://www.createblog.com/layouts/download.php?id=13364 http://www.createblog.com/layouts/download.php?id=13299 http://www.createblog.com/layouts/download.php?id=13181 What the hell? How on earth did those get through the queue? Those are piss poor. And those aren't even all of them! It's basically taking an image from Google, adding a few brushes, putting it through a generator, adjusting the code a little and submitting it. Is that what cB layouts have come to be? Has our design staff become a bunch of rubber stamps? (Not trying to attack you, but look at those layouts!) Please, prove me wrong. If need be, please add more links. |

QUOTE mean i know people are complaining about how the layouts have been looking. But the layouts you have gotten rid of have been downloaded and are still used in come myspaces. Yes, it's a no brainer to make most of those layouts, but just the fact that a person actually took the time to change the codes, and resizing and adjusting the photo to a perfect fit for the layout and then actually submitting this layout so people can use it, should show you how altruistic these people are. Um. Staff members had the right to remove any layout. Designers don’t have to contribute to cb. No one forces any designer to promote. It’s a designer's choice. it's not the staff's fault to remove the layout due to the standard. i actually liked the idea that the moderator are doing their jobs because lately, i had see a bad-looking layout. Cb's standard is about the quality of layouts, not quantity or how much layout anyone submits. I could possibly submit an ugly layout with a lot of effort into it. Why? I’m not good with Myspace CSS. That’s why i prefer div myspace layouts because they are easier and require mainly basic foundation of css/html. Remember, it's about QUALITY layout. if layouts are rejected, people should ... at least, take that as a consideration and encouragement. it will give us a better idea of how to make a better layout. if everyone can do that, cB will be well known for great graphics, inspiration, and etc. i think that's important becuase it inspired us to bring our true potiental. When i was a beginner, i suck at making layouts. i didn’t have the proper knowledge of html and graphics. Guess what? i kept trying to make better layout. There are times when i wasn’t great at making layout. Therefore, i quitted. Until, i was browsing through roxy/roxanne's xanga. i was amaze that she made such great xanga layouts. She was my inspiration which sparks my interests. After that, I worked hard on making layouts, learning codes, memorizing css, and etc. Here i am now, I consider myself a good designer. Hard works paid off. Whatever. You get the idea, right? QUOTE The layouts that you have deleted have already been approved by myspace staff. Both of my layouts that you've deleted was approved by roxanne. Roxanne as designer would not probably have approved the layouts i made if it wasnt up to par to her requirements, right? i dont understand you. QUOTE When users contributed their work, they were not informed that they were going to be deleted because "people have been getting mad about how layouts have been looking lately". This isnt their fault, you should be thankful that 3000 layouts have been submitted so anyone could use it. It just bothers me that you actually would delete things that has already been approved by a staff member. For the 3000 layouts that you have been deleted, just try comprehend the minutes and the effort that has been used. No matter how brief a person worked on a single layout, It still adds up to a pretty big number. Again, cb is about quality, not quantity. It’s not the staff's fault. It’s the designer's choice. No one has to contribute to cb. They can just upload it on imageshack or somewhere. They can make their own website to promote free layouts, and etc. so yeah, this part is pretty much the same as i told you before. (the first reply) |
