I was going out with my now ex for a month and a half and all that he did was put his arm around me when i met HIS friends (i felt like he only did it cuz of them) and i grabed his hand ONCE and he freaked out. We r 17!!! is that normal?

Yeah, some of my boyfriends have been SORTA like that...not quite to that extent, more like they were really nervous to slow dance or kiss, but if you really like them you can just kinda talk them through it which is what I did. Your guy, however, sounds pathetic (if ur not his first gf). Seriously, at 17 its ok to hold hands!
