Okay so I started goin out with this guy a little over three months ago.. when me and him both knew i was moving over the summer three states away.... we just planned on breaking up when that time came... well when the time did come we both had already fallen head over heals for each other.... so we decided to see how the long distance relationship could work out.. So far I have been gone about a month and a half and i have gone to visit for a week once.. I was with him 99% of the time i was there. we talk on the fone pretty much every day and we are constantly sendin stuff back and forth on myspace... but i'm kinda an insecure person... and i was just wondering what you guys think about it? Can guys really be 100% faithfull in a long distance relationship?? This is my first time in one.. so i don't really know..

Well, I am... :]
But anyways, I'lll give you the scoop. It's difficult being in a long distance relationship. You really have to have alot of communication. You can't look at eachother face to face so you pretty much have to learn how to express yourself over the phone. The most difficult thing is when your mad and your partner isn't and they don't realize you are angery (because they can't see your face) so then you think that they are beign a careless ass-hole when ever they start joking around with you... It gets pretty tough at times. You have to learn to deal wtih things over the phone by expressing yourself in words. I think that's probably the hardest thing... also the whole: "wait, say that again" *they say it* "erf.. i'm sory say it again" *they say it* "omg, i'm one more time" *they tell you to forget it* *you get pissed* That's annoying too... I don't know, but I'm getting accustomed to it. When I see her in person it's totally different... It's like we don't have to talk as much becuase we can see each others faces. I'l just say this... not everyone can handle it, and if either of you think that you can't handle it. It won't work. I don't think he is going to cheat on you, but either one of you may not even be ready for a long distance relationship. Although I'm in what is (as of right now) a functional long distance relationship. I still know how difficult it can be at times, and would not recommend it to anyone. Both of you really have to go into the relationship with the "I will not give up" mentality. I suggest you think about weather you really want to do the whole long distance thing or not. If you think your ready, try it, and if you don't think so... than maybe you guys should part. There is nothing wrong with breaking up for the right reasons. You guys can always stay friends. |
