How would I fill a custom shape with a gradient?

Okay. I can help ya. I know an answer to each of your questions.

1. My Computer >> Your hard drive>> Program Files>>Adobe>> Photoshop >> Presets >> Gradients

3. Why isnt it working? Well, have you filled in the shape yet? Or, BEFORE you fill in the shape, select all your gradient overlay settings and junk, then hit okay, THEN fill in the shape.
