your boss? your co-workers? your crush? me, my teachers. i mean, the more respected ones with more teaching experience and know what their doing so i can get their respect and they will look at my work more closely (maybe?) and realize what a good job i do

There's no reason to kiss ass, because if the person doesn't accept you for who you are, they're not worth it.
