Lol, not many vegetarians? There are like none! But me. Yes folks I don't eat the critters. I tried being vegan but it is way harder than you'd think. You all seem to be sort of anti-vegetarian, but I would be happy to explaining to you why I don't eat meat. If anyones interested...ask questions and stuff.

well why are up (personally) a vegetarian? For several reasons actually. 1. I love animals. I really do. I have some 40 animals myself and could never imagine having one of them be put through that sort of thing. Factories treat animals terribly and over crowding has become a huge problem. They spend their whole lives in cages way over packed and some never see the light of day. http://www.goveg.com/factoryFarming.asp 2. Factory farms are terrible for the environment. "Energy from fossil fuels is an important natural resources that is heavily used in modern agriculture. A number of studies have been made to estimate the quantities used in intensive animal farming, the evidence points to animal feed production as a major and inefficient user of both water and energy resources." It is also wasteful and the amount of food used to feed the animals (whos populations that we ourselves have caused to sky rocket) could be used for starving people of our own. 3. It is good for you. You do loose weight and you do reduce the risk of cancer (colon) and many other risks that come with eating the meat we have today. You see, in order to meet the supply factories need animals to grow as big as possible in the shortest amount of time. Growth hormones which also effect people are pumped into these animals on a daily basis. So much as that American Meats have been questioned by Europeans. http://www.preventcancer.com/consumers/gen...rmones_meat.htm Now I know this is a lot of information and I do not want to push it in anyones face. I am not judging anyone and would appreciate it if you would do the same for me. But this is something I feel very strongly about and frankly it is good for you! And I want you all to live long healthy lives. (: So if you have any questions please ask me. I would be happy to aid you on your path to hopefully becoming a vegetarian or vegan. |
