Okay, if you had to design a website, which would you use? I've been contracted to do a business' website, and the president is willing to purchase the software that I need to make his better than the rest.
Which should I get... Dreamweaver or Flash? (and why) |

Neither. Just do it by hand.
In all seriousness, don't use Flash unless you have a really, really good reason to do so. I hate Flash-based websites. Flash makes it hard to bookmark specific parts of the site, and requires the user to download a separate piece of software. It has good support in most mainstream browsers, but the latest versions don't always work well on lesser-used systems (such as Linux and Unix). Flash, in my mind, is only appropriate in a scant few contexts. |
