I was on a forum and we were asked; If you found out your child were gay, what would you do? People (Most of them being Americans) said that they wouldn't be surprised, considering the fact that being gay is the new trend.
Is that true or are they just being stupid? If there's a topic like this, please provide me with the link and close this. Merci beaucoup. |

I don't get it. What is the point in saying you are gay if you are not truely gay? It just seems meanigless since your not getting what you like.

Where I live, Bisexuality is more accepted than homosexuality. I am bi, probably the first bisexual to say it out loud in my school. People don't mind, actually they think I'm straight. There was a metrosexual in my school, everyone thought he was gay, he had a really tough time. Why are things in America so different? |

Different circles or social groups have different things they admire. High schools are chock-full of them. Some people find it admirable to be gay just because it's "different". High schools (at least in America) are full of this sort of one-upmanship. Everyone's trying to be more different. I'd say the reason that some groups admire homosexuality so much is the same reason that some groups admire people who profess to love the most obscure movies or bands—because it's "different". |
