The Racism of the West is quite blatant. I do not refer to racial slurs or lynchings. I do not speak of discrimination. These things do matter, but not quite as much as what I am refering to.
Genocide. It has happened, and it happens all the time. It happens to both blacks and whites. With the genocide in Kosovo, 45 deaths were proven and a NATO intervention took place, with Albanians able to immigrate to the United States as refugees. I myself knew one such immigant, who was in my class at school. However, with genocides in Africa, such as Rwanda, there is general apathy? For instance, the Darfur conflict was rarely covered on news. Genecides outside of Europe are generally ignored. This is blatant racism that all of the west partakes in. This is the true racism of the world we should be worried about. Do you know of any genocides that did not take place in Europe? Do you care? |

hey guy fawkes, didn't they burn you at the stake?
Genocide means MASS killings. howerever extremely tragicany death is, 45 does not constitute "mass". but yes, genocide is a real issue. Thought I don't think America is racist or apathetic toward genocide victims... Was all of the American anti-Semetic during the beginning of WWII? No. they just never were given the information about the Jews and the other targets of the Nazis. America is so wrapped in it's bubble that it doesn't look around to see how it can help |
