Definition

Some people get confused or don't really know the complete definition for "Anime" or "Otaku" is. So here are the definitions to help you out!

Anime: a style of animation originating in Japan. It is sometimes referred to by the portmanteau Japanimation. Anime is characterized by stark, colorful graphics and stylized, colorful images depicting vibrant characters in a variety of different settings and story-lines, aimed at a wide range of audiences. Anime may be broadcast on television, distributed on media such as DVDs or published as console and computer games. Anime is usually influenced by Japanese comics known as manga.


Otaku: a variety of geek (or an overly obsessed fanboy / fangirl) specializing in anime and manga.

Guess what! Guess What! I have Sukisyo! sitting on the table behind meeeeeee! Mwahahahaha.... My daddy said it was a waste of 30$, but I gotta have my pretty boys. I'm waiting for a Loveless box set. x.X Last anime I watche was Here is Greenwood. Again. That's the fourth time. XD
Has anyone seen Mirage of Blaze? I have money left over and I need new material. Stupid manga I read are being released at snail rates... And I can't find friggin' Viewfinder anywhere. Or Wild Rock for that matter. Geez. The strange looks I got at AX when all those salespeople say my manga choices. XD That was funny. "Miss, do you parents know you read this?" was written all over their faces.

Yeah... IRASSHAIMASE! ^_^ I'm your friendly manga junkie, who doesn't mainstream. Therefore, you will never see me mentioning how much I love Inuyasha, but I'll fangirl forever about YYH, G Gundam and... Well, pretty much every boy on boy storyline I can get my hands on. My friend says this obsession will kill me.
