I realized something. I love the real world (not the show, but..the real..world). It's exciting and it's beautiful in its own way. I don't want to go to heaven. In heaven you can't masturbate, have sex, get turned on, play videogames, do things that are sinfully... amusing and entertaining. So I love the world. My friend says if you go to heaven you won't want those things. But why would I not want them? they feel good, I want them!
Would you rather exchange your painful and yet beautiful life in the real world for an emotionally numb nirvana in heaven? I'm sorry if I don;t make sense. But.. ![]() |

Perhaps an analogy is needed. You remember being a little kid right? When you got your first bike you might have thought "Wow, this is the greatest thing in the world! I love my bike! There can't possibly be anything better than riding my bike!" But when you become a teenager you then realize that hey, cars are pretty cool. And then when you get your driver's license, your love for your bike has now been replaced by your love for your automobile and the freedom it gives you. I love videogames too., those that know me here can tell you that. But I've realized that being in union with God the Father in Heaven absolutely beats playing videogames any day. So much that I want to resist anything that would take me from a state of grace. Jesus Christ could have had anything he wanted, but endured a death on a cross just so that we might have a chance to go to heaven. He's offered himself to us and continues to do so every time the Eucharist is offered. You can avoid mortal sin and offer up your suffering in the hope that one day you can go to Heaven. cars ruin the environment but bikes save it. (okay that was pointless...) mmm. well. as i said before, if my image of a christian heavan is correct, i don't want in. Not that i owuld get in though, so that wouldn't be a problem. |
