For the past month now, I've been getting some of kind of ad whenever I go to log onto my computer, telling me that my version of xP may be a victim of counterfeiting. They tell me that I should purchase Genuine Windows XP. It costs 140 dollars, and I don't think I can buy it. Does any one know how else to get rid of the ad? Or make sure my windows isn't a victim?

If your windows copy is legit, and you just want to get rid of the annoyance, you can use this:
