It was a warm Saturday morning and I rose early wanting to make some breakfast for my family. I was frying some canadian bacon and I dropped a piece on the floor. On instinct I reached down to pick it up off the floor and throw it away when suddenly the blinding pain of my fingertips searing overwhelmed my entire being. Sad part is, I ended up dropping the canadian bacon again. I learned a very important lesson that day. Instead of picking up the hot-hot food with my hands I should jab at it with a fork or some other pointy object.
What are some lessons that you've learned the hard way? |
