It was a warm Saturday morning and I rose early wanting to make some breakfast for my family. I was frying some canadian bacon and I dropped a piece on the floor. On instinct I reached down to pick it up off the floor and throw it away when suddenly the blinding pain of my fingertips searing overwhelmed my entire being. Sad part is, I ended up dropping the canadian bacon again. I learned a very important lesson that day. Instead of picking up the hot-hot food with my hands I should jab at it with a fork or some other pointy object.

What are some lessons that you've learned the hard way?

yes, but its jason. i'm not overly distressed to be honest. he just learned the hard way that australia is no tin europe in the boys' locker, so he's smarting from that a bit, i guess

OH, the other one was to stir pasta when it's boiling, or it sticks to the pot which is just unfortunate
