Yeah, yeah, this is old news, but we need some current events topics about it.
No debating here, please. If you want to debate, there's a topic about stem-cell research in there. But feel free to express your opinions. Here's the article. If you want some more information on this, here's a good link. I, personally, wasn't surprised that President Bush vetoed this bill. But it is sad that he is willing to choose the 'life' of a frozen embryo over that of an Alzheimer's patient or a diabetic. Instead of throwing away these embryos, I say put them to use to benefit the greater good of humanity. |

Yep Yep. I think its a little too late though, he's already been in office 6 years. He says stem cell research is immoral, but its not. Instead of the stem cells being used for science, they're destroyed. Its not like we're killing people for them, science is just finding use for ones that would just be destroyed anyways.
![]() The whole issue really pisses me off. If one of Bush's parents had alzimers (sp?) or something, I bet he wouldnt have vetoed it. |
