- Largest grossing film on opening day ($55.5 million; Spider-Man 2 was the previous record-holder with $50 million)
- Largest grossing film on non-holiday Monday ($18 million; Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith was the previous record-holder with $14 million) - So far, it has grossed over $180 million (many predict it will break a third record of largest grossing film in the first single week; Spider-Man 2 holds that record at $192 million) - On unrelated (interesting nonetheless) news, it was banned in China. Yeah, I heard that, too, but then again I remember hearing Keith Richards was going to make an appearance as Jack's dad and that they were filmed at the same time.
 Maybe he'll make it in the third. From what I'm hearing now, they're aiming to release it next summer. I can't wait an entire year.
