- Largest grossing film on opening day ($55.5 million; Spider-Man 2 was the previous record-holder with $50 million)
- Largest grossing film on non-holiday Monday ($18 million; Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith was the previous record-holder with $14 million) - So far, it has grossed over $180 million (many predict it will break a third record of largest grossing film in the first single week; Spider-Man 2 holds that record at $192 million) - On unrelated (interesting nonetheless) news, it was banned in China. What the, Lol. If i was chinese I'd fly my ass to the next country where I could see it Lol.
I was reading article reviews about it and the magezines were saying that POTC was a flop and all this stuff and I was like ... what? Because I read that it did so much better than Spiderman and everything. I love POTC. Am I weird because I get SOOOO MAD that I can't be a pirate. And whenever I see commercials or things on DisneyChannel Movie Surfers I have to change it because I get so sad and mad that I can't be a pirate, and that I probably will never be an actress ? I get so upset. |
