Girls control guys alot. The guys who choose not to be controlled are considered "wierd" or "fags" regardless of their preferences. When girls hit guys, it's a fun or cute thing, regardless of whether it hurt or annoyed the guy. If a guy hits a girl it's domestic abuse and if anyone hears about it he gets his shit kicked in for a good year or so. Girls look at guys like objects more often than guys look at girls like objects, and it's a socially acceptable act. Males are expected to not have feelings. When they express their feelings, they are often either just ignored or it goes back to the "wierd" or "fags" crap. Haven't any of you girls avoided one of the guys because he had too much sex? Yes. You have. You know why? Because he was a slut, and you marked him as such in your minds without using the word. Any guys with substance will call the other guys that sleep around too much mansluts. I'd rather have fun than take a 30 minute shower, trying to wash my hair, condition my hair, wash my face, shave my legs, shave my armpits, wash my body. Not to mention the time it takes to straighten my hair and put on my eyeliner.

Hmmm. Well, if the fact that most people commiting acts of self-injury are females points to social pressure and the problems it creaters for women, then the fact that men kill themselves four times more than women must point to... what exactly?

Don't forget, women "attempt" suicide three times more than men. Suicide is the 8th leading cause of death in males, where it is the 19th in females. The difference between male and female suicide is drasticly larger during youth and young adult ages. Want to talk about social pressure? Social standards and stigmas?
