Has anyone else seen this movie? I've watched it at least 50 times. And I love it. It really makes you think. Your thoughts on it?

i only rented the directors cut. yah, it's a real thinking movie. i like those kinds. I prefer the original cut over the director's. The director's cut has some score changes and some added visuals that I couldn't disagree with more. Either way, I own both copies. I don't think I'll ever really watch the director's cut again though, except for that hilarious commentary featuring Kevin Smith. But, this movie gets alot more credit than it deserves in thinking regions. It really isn't that difficult a film to disect. If you want a real puzzel of a time travel film (one that is far smarter than Richard Kelly's Donnie Darko), try the film Primer. Seriously, Primer is great. Such a smart time travel flick. As for Donnie Darko, I really like the flick. But, I can't stand the Jesus interpretation. It tends to make me want to gag. Just a really fun, clever, funny, and cute flick. |
