Well, first of all, do you want to get back with him? If so, you should find out if he wants to get back with you. If he does, maybe wait it out a few days, then slowly try to work your way back into his heart (what I mean is, don't just say "go out with me again, please" or be straightforward). If he doesn't, then I don't believe that it is worth the effort, and you should move on from him.
