Leaning my tired head,
Against my cool bedroom wall, I sigh in relief. I'm free of this verbal torment, If only for a night. In the back of my mind, I know that it will repeat Continuously in my dreams. You know this as well, And you continue to verbally abuse me Knowing that it sets me off. My body aches, With the harsh beatings that I've recieved. You think that I've learned my lesson, But the war has just begun. You haven't won yet, And I haven't begun to fight. This isn't over. We have all of eternity, The beatings you give me seem like eternity to me, My hatred for you has blossomed, Like a flower has bloomed beneath the sun. This is one omen that is in my favor, An that is against yours. |

This is amazing. You ended the poem very well, too. I like it.
